Post partum

 

     Postpartum, the time after you have giving birth, can be a time of unlimited joy and happiness and also a time of difficulty and distress.  For many women it is a wonderful and delightful time as they have just brought a new baby into the world.  For other women, as they struggle with their raging and unbalanced hormones and can be a time of confusion, dysfunction and even depression.  

  • Continuous care and support for you in the immediate postpartum period (2-4 hours after the birth)
  • Complete physical exam of the newborn after birth
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Postpartum education for the family
  • Availability to clients by phone anytime for questions and concerns
  • Regular postpartum visits for the mother and baby, including home visits on days 1, 5, and 14, with a final office visit at six weeks after the birth, or as necessary according to your individual needs
  • Newborn screening tests available
